  05.10.2007 Mr. Howard Varney, Advocate of the High Court of Johannesburg, and representative of the International Centre of Transitional Justice, conducts a training session on the conduct of investigations into incidents involving human rights violations.
  09.10.2007 Madam Louise Arbour, UN High Commissioner on Human Rights,   who is in Sri Lanka on a brief visit, meets members of the  Commission at the JAIC Hilton.
  01.11.2007 Three hour briefing session on Victim and Witness Assistance and Protection for members and staff of the Commission by three officials of the Commission who received a two week training in at the Federal Police, New South Wales, Australia from 14 Oct. to 30 Oct.
  03.11.2007 Commission completes one year prescribed in the mandate. Commission is informed that mandate will be extended for a further period.
